X makes the spot where your dreams become reality, but how do you get to the X exactly?
Theres a huge division between saying you want to do something and then actually doing it. You can talk all you want about your dreams, your plans, the person you want to be, but if there is not action taking place in order to make those fantasies a reality, there is no use even talking about them. What’s the point of continually dreaming up new adventures for your life if you are not going to take part in them? I call that plain disappointment. Your dreams do not just come to you, you have to go out into the world and find them.
This week, I decided to start searching for a place to potentially start my dreams and help them grow. There is only so many more years I can label myself a “student” and as scary as it is to admit, I am an adult now and need to start looking for somewhere to kickstart my career. CAREER. That is also a scary word. It seems like only experienced, mature professionals have a “career”. However, I will soon be expected to be one of these”experienced, mature professional” and I assume it’s better to get on the scene early instead of arriving too late. For my first step in my journey, I used the LinkedIn job search tool in order to find five jobs I would aspire to apply for one day. I definitely do not have the qualifications to apply now, but writing these jobs down makes me realize all the different opportunities I could potentially have in the future. This makes me more focused because I have an actual real-world position to work for, instead of just a position I come up with in my head. I encourage everyone to start their career search now, so your dreams can become a concrete goal and you have something to work for everyday!
Here are my jobs i found that I would love to call my career in the future!
